Who's Driving Public Education? You are!

The Poudre School District Foundation, in conjunction with the Colorado
School Foundation Association, has gained legislative approval to have a new
"Support Public Education" license plate. The plate will promote awareness
of public education, and raise money to be given directly back to our local schools
through grant funding from the Poudre School District Foundation.

The Poudre School District Foundation urges you to get your
Education License Plate before the DMV increase in July
If you haven’t yet purchased your Support Education License Plate, the
Poudre School District Foundation encourages you to do so before the Department of Motor
Vehicles raises its fees from $25 to $50 beginning July 1, 2007.

"The Legislature has increased the fees for special license plates to $50 per SB07-241,
effective July 1, 2007," said Marcy Lynn McNeal, Executive Director of the Poudre
School District Foundation. Currently, to purchase your Support Education plate go to:
www.supportcoloradoschools.org and follow the instructions to download a certificate
for the plate. The purchaser makes a $20 tax-deductible donation to a designated
Education Foundation via this website. The certificate is then taken to the driver’s
local DMV office. After paying the administrative fee of $25 directly to the DMV
the driver receives their plate. After July 1, 2007 the administrative fee will be $50.
"I really encourage those that are interested in getting a plate to purchase them
before June 30, 2007 to avoid the extra DMV charge," said McNeal.

New plates can be purchased at any time, you don't have to wait for your renewal month!

Let people know that you support public education!
